Arsenal have a big summer ahead, with pressuren likely to start on arteta to finally deliver that illusive premier league title, especially if more money is spent on new signings.
New signings are almost inevitable, but that will mean there will also need to be departures, and with that in mind, we have taken a look at some of the most likely departure at the emirate departure this summer, along with some departures that are not so likely.
We already know Kieren Tierney will join Celtic at the end of his contract this summer, and he will be the first to clear out his locker at London Colney. Elsewhe Jorginho is set to follow, with his contract also up and unlikely to be extended. The midfielder is expected to leave for Brazil, but what is clear is that he will move on barring any surprises. is the most likely to get a new deal of those out of terms.
Leandro Trossard is another player we will include here. The Belgium hasn’t necessarily been linked with an exit, but there has been plenty of talk of Arsenal’s need to strengthen out wide given their lack of depth. By signing a new winger, Arsenal are essentially admitting to the fact they are not happy with falling back on Trossard as a starter if one of Bukayo saka or Gabriel Martinelli is injured, and they are not wrong in their belief, but it doesn’t mean the Belgian will be sold. He is still decent cover and a good enough player to come off the bench, and Arteta is likely to keep him for that reason, even if more attackers are procured.
