
The veteran shot-stopper is now plying his trade in Italy with Fiorentina, whom he joined as a free agent following a one-year break from professional football in the aftermath of his Red Devils release.
In his 29 Serie A appearances since signing, De Gea has tallied a respectable 11 clean sheets while recording an average Sofascore rating of 7.26.
He has saved two penalties, and is now in with a chance of reaching the Europa Conference League semi-finals if La Viola can defend – or extend – their lead against Celje in Thursday’s quarter-final second leg; De Gea had initially been rested in the competition with backup ‘keeper Pietro Terracciano taking his place between the sticks, but has now been restored to the starting XI for the last two fixtures.
