Sky Sports have deleted a social media clip featuring analysis from Thierry Henry on Monday Night Football after strong backlash from fans.
Arsenal legend Henry was the guest in the studio for Bournemouth’s 1-0 win over Fulham, reuniting with his CBS Sports colleague Jamie Carragher.
The pair analysed all the key incidents from the weekend’s action in the Premier League and there was a huge focus on Manchester United’s dire 4-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle on Sunday.
United went in at the break level after Alejandro Garnacho’s equaliser cancelled out Sandro Tonali’s fine strike, before Harvey Barnes bagged a brace and Bruno Guimaraes providing the icing on the cake.
The level of defending from United was widely criticised by in the MNF studio and Henry singled out young centre-back Leny Yoro for what he did after Barnes scored his second goal.
Yoro was spotted looking at the linesman after Barnes found the net and Henry laid into his fellow Frenchman for doing something he claims he had “never seen”.
“Please stay on (Leny) Yoro and what he’s asking for,” Henry said. I don’t know what he’s looking at… are you looking at the linesman to see if he’ll bail you out?
