This season could still end up successful for Manchester United with a Europa League semi final to look forward to, but there are still six Premier League games to get through.
However, despite around 16 per cent of the Premier League campaign still to play, it is already all but concluded for Manchester United with nothing to play for in the competition
Due to a season when United have severely unperformed, Ruben Amorim is in something of a mini-league which could see the Red Devils finish as low as 17th but alternatively as high as 10th if everything goes to plan.
Currently 14th at the time of writing, United’s position within this mini-league means nothing, and every effort must be dedicated to the Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao in May.
Due to this, Amorim has admitted he will be using the academy stars for Premier League games in order to effectively wrap the first team in bubble wrap with everything depending on the Europa League. This weekend against Wolves could see the start of this after a 120 minute clash on Thursday, it would be silly to risk anyone this weekend.
So here are five academy players who could and should be named in the starting line-up to face Wolves.
