Ian Wright clashes with Man Utd star at Baller League as tensions spill over following Troy Deeney red card

Ian Wright was seen clashing with a former Manchester United player at the Baller League.

On Monday night, the fifth matchday of the Baller League took place inside the Copper Box Arena in London.

The night’s first match saw Wembley Rangers, managed by Arsenal legend Wright and England star Chloe Kelly, go up against FC RTW, led by social media personality Clint.

Ahead of the match, Wright and Kelly decided to use their wildcard, which allowed them to bring in former Watford striker Troy Deeney to bulk up their attacking options.

However, Deeney’s debut did not go well as he was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on ex-Portsmouth and Huddersfield player Tareiq Holmes-Dennis.

In the end, Wembley Rangers were beaten 4-3 by FC RTW, and after the full-time whistle, tempers flared between Wright and former United man Josh Harrop, who scored twice during the match.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Former Utd player Josh Harrop rattling everybody at the Baller League… Family man Ian Wright getting amongst it.”

Another tweeted: “Harrop cooking up a storm, Wrighty in shambles.”

A third fan added: “Go on Harrop!”

Born in Stockport, Harrop spent his youth career at United before making his senior debut on the last day of the 16/17 season.

The midfielder marked his debut with a goal as he scored his side’s first during a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Harrop then decided to call time on his Old Trafford career as he rejected a contract from the club in the summer of 2017.

After leaving United, Harrop joined Preston North End, for whom he scored 13 goals in 95 matches.

The Englishman went on to play for the likes of Ipswich Town, Fleetwood Town, Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town.
