With the summer transfer window less than two months from opening, Manchester United’s top targets already look set, with Premier League experience playing a big role.
Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils side sit 14th in the Premier League, with Sunday’s defeat to Wolves recording a record 15th defeat in the competition, the most in a season since it commenced in 1992.
The 1-0 loss against the side now directly below Manchester United in the league table was a new low for the Red Devils, with goal scoring looking like an impossible task for the toothless attacking outfit.
This is something Ineos are already looking to solve in the summer, with both Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap emerging as United targets up front, both of whom have proven themselves in the Premier League.
Fabrizio Romano expects Manchester United to sign Matheus Cunha fast
At Old Trafford on Sunday, Cunha was spotted speaking with several United players and Amorim while also taking photos with supporters. Following this, Monday saw it reported that United are discussing personal terms with Cunha in the hopes of agreeing a deal in advance of the window opening.
