Although his abilities on the pitch have not yet been put to the test, Ruben Amorim has made all the right noises since joining Manchester United and has already begun fixing Erik ten Hag’s errors.
Needless to say, if a manager is fired, it’s because of something he did that didn’t work or appeal to the club’s stakeholders.
Erik ten Hag was obviously having trouble properly engaging with the fans, and it was evident that his tactical setup was being revealed too frequently.
His use of phrases that urged belief to enter self-defence mode, however, was what annoyed me the most towards the end.
It was all talk without substance, whether it was his go-to claim that the club had won two trophies, that he had been injured this season, or that he had been urging patience because the team was young.
Ruben Amorim has immediately begun correcting Ten Hag’s significant error.
