When Man United plays Viktoria Plzen on Thursday, they might win the Europa League for the third time in a row.
Since joining the team, Ruben Amorim hasn’t hesitated to alter his Manchester United starting lineup, and Thursday’s lineup might see the head coach switch things up once more.
For the match against Viktoria Plzen, the United manager has selected a travelling team of 24 players. After recovering from an injury he sustained back in October, Toby Collyer has been included in a squad for the first time under Ruben Amorim.
There was hope that Jonny Evans could be included in the squad for the first time since Amorim’s opening game at the helm but he has not been named in the travelling squad.
Andre Onana will start in goal with Harry Maguire potentially set to start in the back three. Noussair Mazraoui should start to his right with Lisandro Martinez offered a chance to play his way back into form ahead of the derby at left centre-back.
Amad has been one of the top performers under Amorim and needs to start at right wing-back with Tyrell Malacia offered a chance on the left. The centre of the midfield could do with freshening up and so Casemiro and Christian Eriksen should start.
Amorim admitted Bruno Fernandes looked tired in the latter stages against Nottingham Forest and so he should be given a breather with Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount starting behind Marcus Rashford.
