Fans explain why Kyle Walker should have been sent off after Rasmus Hojlund incident during Man City vs Man Utd

Fans think Kyle Walker should have been sent off following his explosive clash with Rasmus Hojlund during the first-half of Manchester City vs. Manchester United.

Man City and Man United played out a drab 30 minutes until Josko Gvardiol opened the scoring after heading home in the 36th minute.

The game then burst into life as Walker and Hojlund went head-to-head, resulting in a mass brawl.

Players from both sides clashed as match referee Anthony Taylor issued a yellow card to both players for their part in the incident.

However, people on social media believe Walker should have been shown a red card.

They reckon he should have been cautioned for the original foul then booked again for simulation, having dropped to the floor despite the lack of contact from the Man United forward.

One X user wrote: “Kyle walker deserves a yellow for the foul and then a yellow for hitting the deck like that. Wow.”

A second wrote: “Kyle Walker should be sent off for that – booking for the foul and booking for falling down like that. Horrendous.”

A third added: “That should have been two yellows for walker, one for the initial foul and another for that frankly embarrassing dive.”

A fourth fumed: “Kyle walker should be sent off. Pathetic.”

Another commented: “Walker should have a yellow for the foul and a yellow for the dive.”

At the break, Roy Keane slammed Walker.

“How can Walker go down like that? He must be embarrassed,” he exclaimed.
