Alan Shearer convinced Ruben Amorim has raised awkward complaint with Man Utd board

Alan Shearer has openly pondered if Ruben Amorim has lodged a complaint to the Manchester united hierarchy about the calibre of his team following their humiliating 3-0 loss to Bournemouth

which saw them schooled by a vibrant Cherries side, making it two consecutive 3-0 victories for Bournemouth at Old Trafford and leaving United locked in 13th in the premier league table.

Amorim, who arrived in Manchester last month after Erik ten Hag’s dismissal, hasn’t been able to turn around United’s wavering fortunes, as evidenced by their recent elimination from one contest after just the previous week.

Given the Red Devils’ lacklustre performances under the 39-year-old Portuguese coach, Shearer has been left to speculate whether he has expressed concerns to the club’s board about the squad’s deficiencies.

On the rest is football podcast, the Newcastle United icon: “He must think, ‘My goodness, this job is so much harder than I thought it was going to be’, he has to have said to the owners, ‘The money you have spent and this is what you’ve given me to try and sort this mess out'”.
