Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has disclosed that Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes received two significant offers last summer.
Many supporters of the Red Devils would concur that the 30-year-old is a crucial player within the team, consistently showcasing exceptional performances even during what has been described as the club’s most challenging season in half a century.
With a tally of 15 goals and 13 assists across all competitions, fans can hardly fathom the state of their season had it not been for the impact of this influential playmaker. Fortunately for Manchester United, Bruno opted to stay committed to the club last summer, despite the attractive offers he received, as Romano explains.
In a recent discussion on his YouTube channel, the renowned transfer market expert noted that the Portuguese international received an initial inquiry from Paris Saint-Germain in June. However, Romano emphasizes that Joao Neves was the primary target for the Ligue 1 champions, who were not particularly determined to secure Fernandes, resulting in minimal resistance when Manchester United rejected their initial overture.

While this concluded the situation with the Parisians, the playmaker attracted renewed interest from several clubs in the Saudi Pro League, who had previously targeted him during the summer of 2023. Nevertheless, Bruno once again declined these lucrative offers, demonstrating his dedication to the Red Devils.
As Romano clarifies, when Fernandes referenced the offers he had received after his hat trick against Real Sociedad, he was referring to these specific bids.
Consequently, Manchester United supporters can feel reassured for the time being, as the captain has no intention of leaving the club in the near future. The Portugal international is under contract with Manchester United until June 2027, with an option for an additional year.
