Manchester United have yet to step up their interest in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, despite reports in Turkey claiming personal terms have been agreed, Fabrizio Romano has revealed on GIVEMESPORT’s Market Madness podcast.
The Red Devils are believed to have earmarked Osimhen as a potential attacking reinforcement for Ruben Amorim this summer, but are not currently moving on any of their transfer targets.
United remain focused on the current campaign and are expected to wait and see how their Europa League journey unfolds, and whether they can secure Champions League qualification by winning the competition.
According to Romano, a Europa League triumph could have a ‘completely different’ impact on United’s summer budget and the calibre of players they are able to pursue in the transfer window.
Man United Yet to Move for Victor Osimhen
Remain interested in the 26-year-old striker
“There is nothing agreed with any club at the moment, also, because for Man United, as we said for Delap, it’s the same for Osimhen and other targets, Man United are waiting to understand about the Europa League, whether they will play Champions League football next season or not.
“Obviously, they hope so, but it’s still a long way to make it happen. So Man United are waiting to understand how much they can really invest in the summer transfer window on the striker, and obviously a Champions League budget would be completely different.
“So that’s going to be a really important point for United. There is interest in Osimhen for sure, from Man United.”
