A video of Matheus Cunha outside Old Trafford has gone viral as Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the Wolves striker’s links to Manchester United.
On Sunday afternoon, Wolverhampton Wanderers secured a shock 1-0 win over United at Old Trafford just days after the Red Devils dramatically secured a spot in the Europa League semi-finals.
Although both sides are safe from relegation this season and therefore the result won’t have a massive impact on their seasons, it did put Wolves level on points with United but behind on goal difference, with the clubs 14th and 15th in the table.
Perhaps the biggest talking point from the match centred around Wolves star Cunha, who was spotted speaking with United fans after the game, amid reports he could join the club this summer.
During the mid-season transfer window, it appeared to be likely that Cunha would be leaving Wolves off the back of his impressive start to the season, with clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea linked with a move.
However, the Brazilian ultimately decided to stay and sign a new deal, a decision he appears to regret given that he has since been outspoken about wanting to leave Wolves this summer.
With current strikers Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund continuing to disappoint, United have emerged as the favourites to sign Cunha this summer, and footage of his post-match on Sunday appears to show that he’s eager to make the move.
