Good news for Fans as Marcus Rashford ‘makes key decision’ over Man Utd future as ex-England boss sends ‘worst decision’ warning

The 27-year-old England international has made two assists in five appearances across all competitions since arriving in the West Midlands and seems to be playing with a new lease of life which had been missing in the final months of his career at Old Trafford, particularly during Ruben Amorim’s opening weeks as manager.

Rashford, who ironically scored the first goal of the Amorim era for Manchester United against Ipswich Town, was dropped from the squad in the run-up to a 2-1 derby day victory over Manchester City on 15th December and was subsequently frozen out of the Amorim’s first team plans entirely after publicly declaring his desire for a new challenge.

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person,” explained Rashford.

Villa’s decision to take Rashford for the rest of the season raised eyebrows, as he had not played for United in over a month – and was perceived by Amorim to be a player that wasn’t giving his maximum effort on the training ground.

Rashford’s entourage categorically denied these claims – and according to Mail Sport, he is currently thriving on the Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and showing great commitment to his work in the West Midlands.

Marcus Rashford makes decision over Man Utd future
Sun Sport reports that Marcus Rashford has told his friends and those close to him that he is keen to make his loan move to Aston Villa a permanent one.

The 27-year-old is believed to have already established a strong working relationship with Unai Emery and believes the Spaniard is the perfect coach to help him resurrect his career at international level.

Rashford had been an England regular from the moment he scored on his debut in the 2016 friendly win over Australia but was left out of Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad in a hammer blow.

His last appearance for England came almost 12 months ago during a 1-0 defeat to Brazil but Rashford is hopeful he can be a key part of the plans of new manager Thomas Tuchel.

Ex-England boss advises Marcus Rashford on big career decision

Former England manager Sam Allardyce has urged Marcus Rashford to leave his boyhood club for Aston Villa on a permanent basis in the summer and claims he should avoid repeating the mistakes of his former teammate Jesse Lingard.

Lingard joined West Ham on loan in January 2021 and made a huge impact by scoring nine and producing four assists in just 16 appearances at the London Stadium.

However, he struggled for football a year later when returning to Old Trafford and scored just twice in 16 games before leaving on a free transfer.
