Anthony Elanga’s blistering sprint for his goal against Manchester United has been compared to Usain Bolt’s 100m world record.
Nottingham Forest beat Man United 1-0 on Tuesday as Elanga scored the only goal of the game.
The former Red Devils star produced a moment of magic to put his side ahead at the City Ground, completing a stunning counter-attack.
He ran 85 metres in just nine seconds with the ball before brilliantly slotting past Andre Onana.
Elanga refused to celebrate his goal, having spent time at Old Trafford, with Man United fans calling out their own club’s social media post following his goal.
His sprint has since been compared to Bolt’s legendary run in 2009, where he set a new 100m world record.
Elanga proved he is one of the quickest players in the Premier League with his run against Forest.
He brought up his fifth goal of the season as he enjoys a stunning campaign.
Speaking after his Man of the Match performance, the 22-year-old told TNT Sports: “It is about attacking the space and getting to the opposite goal as quick as I can. I saw the space and I believe I’m one of the fastest players in the league.
“The finish is something I have been trying to work on. Left foot or right foot, I am quite comfortable with both feet this season.
“All you want to do is keep on improving. Coming here is about playing and developing. I appreciate Manchester United so much as I learned a lot there.
“I am enjoying my football and I want to keep on going.”
