Leny Yoro has revealed how Ruben Amorim warned his Manchester United squad that he won’t tolerate lazy players – after banishing Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa.

Yoro, signed from Lille for £52million in the summer, says the United boss has made it clear that anyone who fails to put the work in will not have a future under him at Old Trafford.

And Yoro, appearing on the Rio Ferdinand Presents Podcast, presented by Qatar Airways, said: “I have a good relationship with Ruben Amorim. I just try to do what he asks me to do.

“He’s big on communication with the players because he played at a top level. He’s been at a lot of clubs, so he knows your feelings when you’re not playing or when you have a bad game. He knows how to speak with you, and that’s really important for me.

“I would say that training is pretty difficult. However, it’s crucial. We train extensively, and for him, training is crucial as you train by playing the game.

“The most crucial thing is to train exceptionally well. He will not like you and will murder you if you are not working and are not training. Yes, you train like you play, therefore it’s normal.

“He’s quite severe about this because you have to be disciplined off the pitch in order to win games and trophies. You must arrive on time.
