Man United fans all saying same thing about Patrick Dorgu’s performance vs Nottingham Forest as ‘surprise’ point is made following defeat at City Ground

Man Utd fans react to Patrick Dorgu‘s Premier League performance against Nottingham Forest at City Ground
Manchester United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were far from impressed with Patrick Dorgu’s showing against Nottingham Forest.

Patrick Dorgu returned to the starting XI after he served a three-match suspension following his sending off in United’s 3-2 win over Ipswich Town in February.

The 22-year-old United wing-back, who was on international duty with Denmark in the March break, looked a shadow of his former self at City Ground.

One X user wrote: “Has Dorgu completed a pass tonight?! Been shocking.”

Another added: “Dorgu has been awful this half. Can barely make an accurate pass.”

Someone else commented: “Dorgu cannot pass to save his life today.”

While a fourth United fan tweeted: “Dorgu cannot pass. This is like the [third] time he’s making this mistake in the same place!”

“Dorgu, my world! He can’t pass the ball,” somebody else said

A sixth Red Devils supporter asked: “Has Dorgu forgotten how to pass the ball?”

And a seventh posted: “Dorgu must learn [to] pass and control the ball.”

Another wrote: “Dorgu can’t pass the ball, so many wasted balls from him.”

United were stunned in only the fifth minute at City Ground on Tuesday evening after Forest attacker Anthony Elanga came back to haunt the Red Devils.

Anthony Elanga singlehandedly launched an immediate counterattack for Forest after he collected the ball deep inside his own half following a United corner.

The 22-year-old Sweden international, who was sold by United for a £15m transfer fee in 2023, showed blistering pace, exceptional dribbling and a real attacking threat

Elanga proceeded to take the ball to the edge of the United box before he fired a superb low and hard strike past a helpless Andre Onana and into the bottom corner.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men went into half-time with a 1-0 lead over United after Elanga’s first-half opener against his former side at City Ground.

Elanga’s first-half strike proved enough to seal all three Premier League points for Forest after United were unable to rally back in the second half on Tuesday evening
