Man United loanee Antony makes feelings clear with Real Betis message after win vs Real Madrid

Antony was back in play for Real Betis after the red card he received during the La Liga match against Getafe was successfully appealed.

Antony has expressed his views following Real Betis’ 2-1 La Liga victory over Real Madrid on Saturday.

Betis won a red card appeal against the Brazilian, allowing the winger to play the complete 90 minutes. Antony received a straight red card for a lunging challenge on Juan Iglesias in their triumph against Getafe last Saturday.

In real time, the decision appeared to be correct as he charged from a distance and collided with his opponent’s back. However, replays revealed that Antony did withdraw from the challenge to avoid contact with the opponent.

The club’s appeal was successful, and he may now face Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Johnny Cardoso and Isco scored to help Betis overcome a 1-0 deficit after Brahim Diaz put Real Madrid ahead in the 10th minute.

Despite winning, Antony did not score or assist this time. Since his January transfer to Spain, he has two goals and two assists in five league appearances.

Antony, as usual, took to Instagram stories following the game to display Betis’ full-time graphic and thank their supporters. Over 50,000 fans packed the Benito Villamarin Stadium, and the winger used to social media to express his gratitude.
