Manager ‘obsessed’ with Manchester United player – Wants him at all costs

In the winter transfer window, it was well documented that Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho was a target for Napoli.

A transfer didn’t materialise as the player asked for lofty wages, making sure that the Partenopei backed off before deadline day. Now, the Italian giants’ inability to sign the Red Devils’ player is causing a fair amount of stir.

Over the past few days, Antonio Conte has been vocal about Napoli’s failure to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. While he hasn’t directly spoken about Garnacho, signs are that he is the man the Italian wants in Naples.

Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo has reported that Conte is ‘obsessed’ with the idea of landing Garnacho from Manchester United.

While Napoli have Igor Paixao and Riccardo Orsolini on their shortlist, the ex-Tottenham manager is not satisfied with the current situation and wants Garnacho at all costs.

Conte’s obsession for the Argentina international is at a point where he expects the winger in Naples in the summer.

Things are getting messy and bringing Garnacho from Manchester United could go a long way to solving some problems.
