Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, is eager to see what defender Leny Yoro’s future at Old Trafford would bring.
As he continues to acclimatise to life at Old Trafford, Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has been predicted by head coach Ruben Amorim to become “a top, top, top player” in the future.
Last July, United defeated Real Madrid to acquire the centre-back from Lille, a French team, for an initial payment of £52.2 million. Eventually, the cost can increase to £58.9 million.
Naturally, Yoro missed the first few months of the season after breaking his metatarsal a few weeks after joining the team. On December 4, he made his United debut during their 2-0 loss to Arsenal.
Telling MUTV, “He is working really, really hard,” Amorim said. “All these little things that you can’t see make me believe that he is getting more muscle.
“I think he is going to be a top, top, top player and is going to have a great career here in Manchester. But for that, he knows that he has to prove [himself] in every match, so he is going to be ready for the next one.”
Fellow summer recruit Joshua Zirkzee has also shown signs of encouragement in recent matches, offering much more since being deployed in one of the two No.10 positions. Amorim insists his confidence is on the rise after a challenging period.
“I think that means a lot to him,” Amorim continued, referring to the Dutchman’s supporters. He is putting forth a lot of effort, and it’s evident that his confidence is growing as he performs.
“With him, the supporters are incredible. Their only goal is to assist the team in winning.
