Ruben Amorim singles out three Man Utd stars after Europa League draw with Lyon

Ruben Amorim singled out Manchester United trio Rasmus Hojlund, Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro for praise after the draw against Lyon.

Zirkzee and Yoro both registered goals in the 2-2 Europa League quarter-final first leg clash with the French side on Thursday night.

Hojlund started the match but failed to get on the scoresheet yet again for the Red Devils as he was replaced by Zirkzee in the 63rd minute.

But United head coach Amorim insists he was satisfied with what he saw from the Dane as he also lauded both Zirkzee and Yoro after the game.

Following the 2-2 draw at Parc Olympique Lyonnais, Amorim told reporters in his post-match press conference: ‘[Yoro] was really good.

‘He was really confident. I think he is improving his physicality which was something he was struggling [with]. He didn’t have a pre-season.

‘So we are seeing all the work the staff are doing with Leny. He feels more at home at Carrington and at our club. You can see he’s a top, top player.’
