Manchester United need to have a big summer transfer window.
In fact, this season has been historically awful for the Red Devils, and this team needs major surgery.
As the summer approaches, Manchester United has a few intriguing targets in mind.
United has been linked to Liam Delap, while Ruben Amorim is also considering Matheus Cunha.
In an interview with Amazon, Wayne Rooney listed the three players he hopes United would sign this summer and offered an intriguing recommendation.
In fact, Rooney believes that David De Gea ought to be a target for United to re-sign throughout the summer.

Interestingly, David De Gea was the man at the top of Rooney’s list.
De Gea was, of course, released by Manchester United in 2023 and was without a club for a full year before joining Fiorentina.
“I think my three new hires will be. David De Gea is someone Manchester United has missed and I believe he can still contribute to the team’s success, therefore I would probably sign him back,” Rooney stated.
This season, Andre Onana has received a lot of criticism, and Rooney feels that the former Ajax player should be replaced in the Manchester United goal.
De Gea initially signed for United in 2011 for £19m, and now Rooney wants the Spaniard back at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney has proposed two more additions to Manchester United’s roster in addition to De Gea.
Rooney wants Victor Osimhen to join Manchester United because the team needs a striker and Rasmus Hojlund has recently come under fire.
The second is that I would most likely sign Osimhen as a number nine. He’s available, and I think he’s a tremendously excellent striker,” Rooney remarked.
Rooney went on to say that signing Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace was his third choice.
“I would attempt to sign Guehi from Crystal Palace as my third option, though it would be challenging.” “I said,” Rooney said.
It’s unclear if the Red Devils would attempt to pursue any of these trades this summer, but De Gea, Osimhen, and Guehi would all be excellent additions to United.
